COLT Studio Group announced today that it has learned that Buckshot Man and good friend, Danny Roddick passed away on September 13, 2007. “We are devastated and saddened by this tragedy,” said President and Creative Director John Rutherford. “We have watched Danny grow up and everyone here at COLT Studio Group extends our most heartfelt condolences to his family, friends and loved ones. He will be missed.” Danny joined the COLT Studio Group as a Buckshot exclusive performer in 2005. He immediately gained a following with memorable performances in Buckshot’s HARD Studies, Boot Black Blues, BIG RIG: Extended Cab Edition, and Olympus’ HOSTILE. Director Kristofer Weston said, “He was one of the most caring and sensitive people I’ve ever had the privilege of working with on set. A truly beautiful man inside and out and I’m honored to have called him a friend.”

Danny most recently appeared in the Buckshot release and director Jerry Douglas feature BROTHERHOOD. “The loss of anyone so young and talented and especially a sweet and fragile individual is heartbreaking, but for someone who was rapidly approaching the peak of his career it is doubly painful,” said Jerry Douglas.

In addition to his film work with the studio, Danny has made numerous appearances, including most recently at the Chicago GRABBY Awards as a Trophy Boy. His work ethic, positive attitude and energy will be sorely missed.

Most recently, Danny had appeared in Director Dennis Bell’s AMG Brazil 2-part feature AMAZONIA: Capture & Release set to release at the end of September. “I had the pleasure of working with Danny recently and will miss him greatly” commented Dennis Bell.
