I actually knew Ed Wiley when he lived in Charlotte, NC 1994 to 1996. He introduced me to massage. He answered the phone as other massage advertisers had their voicemail on. We became friends, when my regular job ended, I went down to Florida to Sarasota, and found him in Tampa. He actually came to my school graduation. I did not know he did gay porn until I visited San Francisco, on a phone conversation he told me that I would find him on some VHS tape covers and magazines. That was interesting. At any rate, glad you have your website. This is my sort of tribute to Ed Wiley` Miles Long... Last contact I had with him was when I was travelling West, he was in Desert Springs, CA. in January, 2001. 



MADD COW / RETROMEN:
In an interview in MANSHOTS, July 1996, Ed Wiley suggests that his first porn work was for Falcon in 1974. The earliest I can find is a solo loop entitled NARCISSUS 2 which appears to have been filmed in late 1975 or 1976, and this also appears to be one of the film features being screened in A NIGHT AT THE ADONIS (1978), which was directed by Jack Deveau for Hand-in-Hand films. Before this, Ed was in ROUGH TRADES (1977), for Hand-in-Hand. Ed was in two loops for Falcon: FULL SERVICE (1978), co-starring with Guillermo, and FUCK TRUCK (1978), with Tom Manley and Luke.

Ed said he was "discovered" in San Francisco in the mid-seventies. He was a truck driver and evidently was in SF on business. He parked his rig (the truck) at The Boot Camp (leather bar on Bryant Street), and went in for a beer. He had found the listing in a gay guide, and evidently he fell into the right hands. Falcon's ad for FULL SERVICE refers repeatedly to Ed's 13-inch dick. In the interview Ed says it's nine and a half inches, and that Falcon measured it. So either Falcon's lying or Ed's being modest. Ed did films for a number of studios, including Target, Colt and Falcon.

Ed got out of porn around 1984. He used his porn earnings to purchase equipment for his house renovation business. In 1990, he had a scene in SOMEONE'S WATCHING, for Jocks/Falcon. The most recent reference I can find on him is from 2008 in Palm Desert, CA. He would be in his late fifties today.
